The 2nd Summer Workshop of the Center for Semantic Web Research will take place at Santiago, Chile, on January 13-15, 2016. The workshop is a space where everyone collaborating or interested in collaborating with our center can meet and discuss last year’s advancements. As such, the program will be a mixture of talks by CSWR members and invited speakers.
The school and workshop will be held at "Sala de Magíster Luis Crisosto" of the School of Engineering, Campus San Joaquín of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. You can find it in this map.
The easiest way to get to the campus is by taking the Metro, Line 5. The campus is at the right hand side when getting off San Joaquín station. See also the metro station in Google Maps.
The Summer school on efficient extraction of semantic web data will be held previous to the workshop, on Jan. 11-12, 2016, at the same Venue.
The summer school is aimed at graduate and senior undergraduate students with basic undergraduate-level knowledge on computer science, with interests in databases, logic, algorithms and information retrieval.

The main goal of the Center for Semantic Web Research is to perform research on problems related to the effective extraction of semantic data from the Web, and to develop the basic tools for such effective extraction.
The second annual Workshop of the Center will be held at the Campus San Joaquín of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, between the 13th and 15th of January, 2016. The workshop will consist of a mix of presentations of the center’s collaborators and extended talks given by invited speakers.
The Center for Semantic Web Research is an initiative that brings together professors, researchers and students from Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, University of Chile and University of Talca, and which is funded by the Iniciativa Científica Milenio.
